Cumulative Vote Totals

      The cumulative vote totals are stored in multiple redundant files, one for each selection mechanism and one for the precinct.  Copies of these consolidated files are stored throughout the Election Day in the PC and in each Palm.  Each Palm has redundant information about the entire precinct election.  Cumulative votes are updated throughout the day and stored in multiple places.  Protections are in place to document that the redundant flat files are the same.  The system works in the same manner that mission critical messaging works.
