Order of Operations Procedures

      The procedures used can only be executed in the intended manner and order of operations established.  There are step-by-step procedure manuals for the preparation of the ballot, configuration of the machine for a particular precinct, and operation of the machine on election day.  There are step-by-step procedures for before the polls open, during voting hours, and after the polls close.  If a procedure is done out of sequence, the machine will not work, or the action will be blocked.  Consult the election administrator and election poll worker handbooks for further details.
