Voter Education

Each voter should be consulted to ensure that they understand the simple procedure used to operate the voting machine.  If the voter understands how to use the voting machine, they can then be led to a voting booth where an initialized voting machine is ready to receive their ballot vote selections.

Once admitted to the voting booth, the voter should read the ballot which will show each office title, how many votes should be made for each office, the candidate names, candidate occupations, and the party affiliations.  To perform a "Write-In," the voter first presses the vote selection button for the "Write-In" option for that office and then uses the keypad to type in the name of the candidate they wish to select.  The candidate name will appear on the small supplied screen as it is typed.  To finalize the "Write-In," the voter will press the enter button on the keypad.  The questions to be voted on are visible on the surface of the machine.  To vote "Yes" or "No"  for a question, press the corresponding button and a light will illuminate to confirm your vote.  If the button fails to illuminate, press it a again to ensure it lights up and registers.
