Voting Logic
A candidate or question
cannot be selected if the limit has been reached for that selection.
It is possible to deselect a choice and make another choice quite
easily.
In a closed primary, the election official sets the machine and locks out all
but the designated party. This is
basically the same in an open primary, but here, the voter gets to select the
party first.
Voting is prevented before the polls open if the zeros have not been printed,
if the ballot configuration has not been printed, or if Lock 2 is down.
Lock 2 is not prevented. This aspect is under the control of the election
officials.
Vote totals cannot be printed during the election.
The state logic within the voting machine knows that voting is ongoing
and does not provide access to the consolidated vote total systems. |
